2025 Review

If you could have invested in the word “slop” in 2024, by the end of 2025 you wouldn’t need to work.

Indeed, the faint stench of ChatGPT has begun to wear thin and consumers are tiring of the familiar AI-infused rhythms - a beige ghost haunting every deck, every line of copy, every tasteful gradient.

And in this brave new world of AI, many brands are finding themselves seduced by the promise of “productivity” in lieu of what drives real results: i.e. the annoying stuff that can’t be automated.

We’re talking about your brand, the way you connect with people, and the way your story is understood, remembered and felt.

We’re talking about getting people in a room to nerd out on the details. About the magic of when someone truly gets your brand and what you’re building. About people actually caring that you exist.

So that became our commitment. Not anti-AI and certainly not analogue purists. Just the recognition that there’s skill to using AI. And there’s also skill in knowing when to turn it off.

As everything around us accelerates, we’ve doubled-down on the things that algorithms can’t touch, expanding our work into IRL (events and brand activations) and going deeper into the messy, stubborn work of making brands feel truly timeless.

In 2025, we renamed ourselves to Moat.

Part rebrand, part manifesto.

Because we believe firmly that a lasting brand - the real, human thing that helps people connect - can’t be prompted into existence.

And in a world drowning in slop, human connection is the only moat that holds.
